Project Summary

The Resilience Cities Network Development project worked with the seven biggest cities in Aotearoa (Auckland / Tāmaki Makaurau, Wellington / Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Christchurch / Ōtautahi, Hamilton / Kirikiriroa, Tauranga, Napier / Ahuriri, and Dunedin / Ōtepoti) to evaluate the current state of city resilience, and to form a network for city partners to collaborate and share resilience knowledge and best practice. The work was included in the National Disaster Resilience Strategy published by the National Emergency Management Agency in 2019.
