Shari Gallop is a coastal environmental scientist based at the University of Waikato, Tauranga. Her interdisciplinary research spans coastal hazards such as rip currents and sea level rise, the science of estuarine restoration, and geological controls on coastal dynamics.
She has lived and worked in Australia and the UK and is excited to be home in Aotearoa New Zealand, learning how to bridge mātauranga Māori and western science. Outside of work, she enjoys hanging out with her husband and kids, and is also a student of Te Reo Māori.
