Kristie-Lee Thomas is an early career researcher undertaking her PhD at the University of Canterbury, and has contributed to a wide range of disaster risk reduction research with a particular focus on tsunami risk for her homeland Wharekauri / Rēkohu (the Chatham Islands). Prior to embarking on her PhD Kristie-Lee worked as a Risk Specialist at GNS Science.
