Christina is a natural hazard risk scientist at GNS Science. Her interests include natural hazard risk assessment, numerical simulation of hazard processes, and understanding the physical, economic and public health impacts of long-duration and cascading hazard events. Christina’s career has bridged academic and industry, and she values strong collaborations with academic colleagues and industry partners.
Christina has a particular interest in volcanic hazards and risk, with studies conducted in Japan, Peru and the Philippines contributing to disaster risk reduction decision-making. She is currently continuing this work by implementing a multi-hazard probabilistic modelling framework for Aotearoa New Zealand volcanic risk within RiskScape.
