Jenny Stein

Jenny is a geologist who retrained as a science communicator to pursue her interests in scientific research alongside her passion for making such information accessible to non-experts. She has a diverse background ranging from mineral exploration to teaching English (in Japan), and comes to the Challenge after working as a freelance science communicator and part-time technician at GNS Science. Outside work, Jenny is kept busy as the current secretary of the Geoscience Society of New Zealand (GSNZ) and convenor of their Geo-Education, Outreach and International Development Special Interest Group (GEOID SIG).
